|
Amarillo Warheads starter Nick Dalton was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Long Island Ducks, 5-3. Earning his 3rd save for Amarillo was Carlos Taváres. The Ducks fall to 8-10 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2039 season.
Marika Miah found himself in a pressure situation in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Long Island hurler Finley Brinley, the 21-year-old first baseman drew a walk, driving in 1 run. His 1st walk of the season put the Warheads on top, 4-3.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Amarillo manager Javier Trujillo. "It's usually not just one thing."
