Snowpeople Walk It Off for 9th Win of Season
|
The Ellesmere Island Snowpeople relied on the hitting of right fielder Francisco Rocha to stop the Franklin Fire, 7-6. For the game, Rocha was 3-5 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 times. Marcos Lucero picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Ludwig Krassnig was tagged with the loss. The Snowpeople, now 9-2, have had a terrific start to the season.
The clutch at-bat in the bottom of the ninth belonged to Rocha. Facing Ludwig Krassnig with runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Ellesmere Island right fielder had a run-scoring single. Game over, walk-off style!
