The Quebec City Baby Blues topped the Amarillo Warheads, 4-2, in USSL Rookie action at Ballpark of Henderson. The player of the game was Quebec City pitcher and Porcupine, Canada native John Stevens. Getting the save was Calvin Blackburn, his 2nd.

Stevens scattered 2 hits over 6 innings for the Baby Blues. With the win, Stevens goes to 1-1 on the year with 9 strikeouts.

"I liked his command," said Quebec City manager Tony Romero. "John was throwing strikes."
