Lead Sox Win 5-4 Walk-Off

The Indiana Lead Sox defeated the Valley View Cougars, 5-4, in USPL Rookie action at The Lead Mine, with Indiana pitcher Armando Sosa named player of the game. Indiana reliever Tony Ruvenacht picked up the win, upping his record to 2-4. Santiago Rivera shouldered the loss. The losses continue to pile up for Valley View, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.
José Rivera was the walk-off hero for Indiana. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Lead Sox left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Rivera said.
