The Portland Evergreens topped the New Orleans Voodoo, 7-5, in 13 innings. Portland second baseman Eugene Bowman earned player of the game honors with his performance. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Voodoo, now 9-5, continue their sluggish start.

Portland used the clutch hitting of Blaze Alexander to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the 13th inning to give the Evergreens the lead, 7-5. For the game, Alexander had 2 singles and 2 doubles in 7 at-bats.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Bowman said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
