Mike Rowe pitched well, but his team, the Valley View Cougars, still dropped a 4-3 decision to the Crowley Cajuns at Hillandale Grounds. The winner was Bhu Damocles, who threw 100 pitches over 5.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 7 hits. The last-place Cougars have dropped 4 straight games.

The Cougars had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Cajuns going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 18-year old right fielder Niek Bendt came to the plate. Bendt hit a run-scoring single on a 1-0 fastball from Valley View hurler Mike Rowe. It was Bendt's 10th hit of the year.

"I was a little disappointed," said Valley View manager Francisco Villanueva. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
