The Crowley Cajuns defeated the Tulsa Otters, 8-4, at Ballpark of Hughesville. Archie Pittman was named player of the game for Crowley. His 2 hits included 1 single and 1 double, in addition to the 3 runs he scored and 1 he knocked in. Crowley starter Ramón Aragón was credited with the win after throwing 97 pitches over 6.2 innings. His record now stands at 5-2. Héctor Sanz earned his 15th save in 17 tries.
Crowley used the timely hitting of Sam Wells to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Cajuns on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Pittman said.
Crowley now sits in 4th place in the Premier R at 43-39.
