Rhinos Get One-Run Win at Fort Knox
|
Redwood Rhinos starter Korbin Dallas turned in a sterling performance against the Fort Knox Centennial, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. In 6 innings, Dallas surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. The Rhinos raised their record to 37-45.
Redwood used the timely hitting of Jeffery Smith to capture the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Rhinos on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.
"We were in it," said Fort Knox manager Justin Saginov. "We just didn't score enough runs."
