Okumura Dazzles in Redwood Win
In a low-scoring clash between Redwood and Surprise, pitcher Josuke Okumura was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned player of the game honors for Redwood in the 3-0 win. The Rhinos now have a record of 35-43 with the win over Surprise.

The standout performance belonged to 19-year-old Okumura. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Rhinos. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Shockers, striking out 13 and scattering 3 hits over 7 innings. Okumura is now 12-3 on the season.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Okumura said after the game.
