Octopi Bang Out 6-4 Win Versus Surprise
The Ogallala Octopi relied on the hitting of second baseman Sergei Adjubei to stop the Surprise Shockers, 6-4. For the game, Adjubei went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Ogallala starter Voitto Niskakangas was credited with the win after throwing 102 pitches over 7.1 innings. His record now stands at 7-5. Chang-weon Sin earned the save for Ogallala, his 2nd of the year.

Adjubei contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Ogallala in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-0, Adjubei took a sinker from Jean Mercier and stroked the home run to right-center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Octopi to leap in front, 4-2.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Adjubei told the Ogallala Citizen.

Ogallala is now 36-38, while Surprise is 41-33.
