The Surprise Shockers took Tulsa pitcher Darren Henry's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Ballpark of Hughesville. The final score had Surprise getting past the Otters, 4-0. Henry went 7 innings and allowed no earned runs, striking out 7. Surprise reliever José Romero was credited with the win, to go to 3-0. Johnny Ijzendoorn took the loss for Tulsa. The Shockers, at 38-28, lead by one game in their division.

Surprise used the timely hitting of Vicente Casaus to capture the win. The catcher socked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Shockers ahead, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was an important one.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Casaus.
