Cattlemen Come Back Late to Clip Northern Lions BC
|
Thunder Bay pitcher Ralph DePalma gave the Cattlemen all they could handle, but in the end, Ft. Worth left Great Northern Field with a 4-3 win. DePalma allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits over 7 innings. Jack Buyse finished the game for Ft. Worth and earned his 10th save. Ft. Worth is now 16-9, Thunder Bay 14-11.
It could have been a different outcome for Ft. Worth, had it not been for Tsuneari Hirano, the 24-year old second baseman . Hirano contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the ninth inning to put Ft. Worth up, 4-3.
Hirano told a Ft. Worth Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
