Shockers Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
|
The Surprise Shockers topped the Tulsa Otters, 11-8, at Ballpark of Hughesville. Surprise right fielder Max Dickins earned player of the game honors. He banged out 2 singles and 1 double, while driving in 2 runs. Dan Seymour earned the save for Surprise, his 9th. The 4th-place Shockers improved to 27-24.
Jorge Miralles's hit in the top of the tenth was a game-changer. With no one out, he rapped a sinker from Nick Ramey for a run-scoring single. It put Surprise in front, 9-8.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Dickins.
