Tight Tilt Goes to Cajuns, 3-2
|
The Crowley Cajuns got a strong performance from pitcher Shawn Umble, who stymied the Valley View offense en route to a 3-2 win at Titans Ballpark. The save went to Héctor Sanz, his 9th this season. Crowley now owns a record of 27-23.
The game hit a turning point in the bottom of the fifth inning, when the Cajuns were trailing 2-1. Archie Pittman delivered a two-out 2-run double for Crowley, catapulting his team into the lead.
"I was a little disappointed," said Valley View manager Francisco Villanueva. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
