Valley View starter Pablo Mareno kept the Crowley hitters in check, while his team cruised to a 10-1 win. Mareno went 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2. His record improves to 2-4. Fritz Finkbiner finished the game for Valley View and earned his 3rd save.

It could have been a different outcome for Valley View, had it not been for Brian Webb, the 19-year old center fielder . Webb contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the first inning to put Valley View up, 1-0.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Mareno.

Valley View currently is in 8th place in the Premier R at 23-26.
