Centennial Raise Rally Flag, Beat Tulsa, 5-4
|
The rain could not keep the Ballpark of Baxter crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.
Benefiting from Rocky Moran's productive game, the Fort Knox Centennial downed the Tulsa Otters, 5-4. Moran was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Centennial. The winner was Mang Zhong in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Nick Ramey took the loss.
John Joseph had a nice at-bat for the Centennial with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the pinch hitter got hit by a pitch, which would prove important in the Fort Knox win.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Tulsa manager Bill Callahan. "The effort was great."
The Centennial move to 28-17 with the win, while the Otters drop to 22-23.
