In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

Riding the 2-hit performance of the 19-year old center fielder Joe Gilmore, the Crowley Cajuns stopped the Surprise Shockers, 12-2. The win was credited to Kuniyuki Sugimoto in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Jean Mercier took the loss.

Crowley relied on the hitting of Sam Wells to pick up the win. The right fielder ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the second inning to put the Cajuns on top, 2-0. For the game, Wells had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Surprise manager called the blowout loss "a real dud."

The Cajuns raised their record to 23-21.
