Fort Knox and Surprise got after it at ďAbbots Ballpark.
Getting an impressive start from Jeremiah Hartney, Fort Knox beat Surprise by the score of 5-2. Paul Johnson got credit for the save for Fort Knox. It was his 2nd of the year.
Fort Knox used the bat of Dima Tabakaev to capture the win. The right fielder jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Centennial ahead, 5-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Hartney said.
Fort Knox is now 25-16, 2 games up in the Premier R.
