Tabakaev slugs 2 home runs, Centennial Move to 23-14
|
The Fort Knox Centennial topped the Ogallala Octopi, 8-7, with right fielder Dima Tabakaev playing a big role. Tabakaev hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Centennial in the win. Kevin Gabriel earned the save, his 2nd, for the Centennial. Fort Knox is now 23-14, Ogallala 19-18.
Fort Knox took a 8-7 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With two out, pinch hitter John Joseph hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"Nothing is scripted in this game," said Tabakaev.
