Otters Topple Octopi as Dalton Shines
|
The Tulsa Otters knocked off the Ogallala Octopi, 8-2, at Ballpark of Hughesville. Henry Dalton, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Tulsa won. The first baseman was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 4 times. Pat Davies earned the win to go to 2-1. He allowed 2 earned runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. Fernando Campos finished to wrap up his 1st save.
José Anaya hit a 2-run double off Cipriano Bustamante in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Otters in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Anaya had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
Said losing manager Luis Muñóz: "Give the Otters credit. They took advantage of our mistakes."
With the victory, the Otters record now stands at 16-17.
