The Valley View Cougars downed the Ogallala Octopi, 6-5, at Nebraska Aquarium. The Cougars were led by Zhong-yan Zhang, who captured player of the game honors. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. The Cougars are off to a tough start, getting just their 6th win in 17 games.

Valley View took a 6-4 lead on Zhang's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Otton Asmus in the top of the sixth, propelled Valley View to the win.
