Octopi Come Back Late to Top Rhinos
The Ogallala Octopi went home winners at The Zoo, thanks in large part to starter Voitto Niskakangas. Niskakangas silenced the Redwood Rhinos, enabling Ogallala to grab the 3-1 win. Niskakangas went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 9. His record improves to 1-1. Otton Asmus finished the game for Ogallala and earned his 3rd save.

Ogallala used the timely hitting of Rafael Soto to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Octopi ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was an important one.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Redwood skipper Jerome Perry, "and it cost us."

With the win, Ogallala elevates its record to 4-5.
