Flanderses Sink Otters, 7-2

The Tulsa Otters and Hudsonville Flanderses were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at Ballpark of Hughesville.
Hudsonville starter Jude MacPherson had a strong outing against the Tulsa Otters at Ballpark of Hughesville. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 7-2 win. MacPherson, now 1-1, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run.
Hudsonville used the timely hitting of Marc Hayman to capture the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Flanderses on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
In comments to the Hudsonville Daily News, Hayman admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
The loss lowers the Tulsa record to 3-3.
