Lighthouse Raise Rally Flag, Beat Ft. Worth, 5-3

Long Island and Ft. Worth duked it out at The Cattle Pen and the Lighthouse came out victorious.
Ft. Worth got a terrific performance from pitcher Armando Romano, but it wasn't enough to beat the Long Island Lighthouse. Long Island won the The Cattle Pen contest, 5-3. Romano was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. Long Island reliever Tim Lockhart picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jack Buyse shouldered the loss.
Long Island used the timely hitting of Mare Riseley to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Lighthouse on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Riseley called the win "a collective effort."
The loss drops Ft. Worth to 13-6.
