With right fielder Jorge Agramunt leading the charge, the Myrtle Beach Seahawks defeated the Galesburg Guzzlers, 15-1, at Galesburg Field. Agramunt was 3-5 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Myrtle Beach reliever Derek May picked up the win, upping his record to 5-2. Sergio Palácios absorbed the loss. The first-place Seahawks now have a 4-game winning streak.
Myrtle Beach needed the clutch hitting of Wendel Koudstaal to notch the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Seahawks on top, 5-1. For the game, Koudstaal had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"The name of the game is scoring runs," Agramunt said. "We did a good job of that today."
