Bowties Top Outlaws to Even Record
|
Tom Burton had a good game, but he could not keep the Nashville Outlaws from falling, 9-5, to the Buckhead Bowties at 5 Paces Park. The Nashville first baseman was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once in the loss. Paul Haines, credited with the win, is now 2-2. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in 5 innings. The defending champion Bowties have struggled a bit to find their groove this season, but improve to 9-9 with the win.
Barsati Saraf contributed to the Buckhead win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"You can't take yourself too seriously," Saraf told the Buckhead Gazette. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."
