The Galesburg Guzzlers got a stellar effort from pitcher Ron Jordan, helping Galesburg score a 5-2 win over the visiting Eugene Vandals. Galesburg has now won 3 in a row.

Takeshi Taniguchi had a big 2-run single for the Guzzlers in the bottom of the third inning. With Galesburg trailing 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a cutter from Esteban Vásquez and stroked the single to center. It was his 8th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Guzzlers ahead, 2-1.

"It was a solid team effort," said Jordan after the game.
