Guzzlers Pin 6-2 Loss on Revolution
|
The York Revolution and Galesburg Guzzlers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at York Park.
Getting an impressive start from Steve Gourin, Galesburg beat York by the score of 6-2. Gourin, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 5 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 3 walks.
Galesburg relied on the hitting of Vicente Gomillion to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Guzzlers on top, 4-0. For the game, Gomillion had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Gourin.
The Guzzlers now have a record of 17-22 with the win over York.
