1787 BC Deal Walleye Painful Loss
|
The Delaware 1787 BC defeated the Walla Walla Walleye, 10-9. Earning player of the game honors was third baseman Trevor Boele, who went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. At 16-22, the 1787 BC are currently 9th in the Premier A.
Boele had a game-changing double in the bottom of the ninth. On a 1-2 fastball from Jerry Williams, he banged a run-scoring double to left, giving the 1787 BC a 10-9 lead. It was the 7th double of the year for Boele.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Boele told the Delaware News.
