The Riot Zone was the site of a competitive game between the Eugene Vandals and York Revolution.
The York Revolution went home winners at The Riot Zone, thanks in large part to starter Wan-fu Quan. Quan silenced the Eugene Vandals, enabling York to grab the 3-1 win. Quan, now 3-2, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 1 earned run. Travis Hayes closed the door for York, picking up his 8th save of the year.
The result might have been different for York, had it not been for Sergio Vargas, the 20-year old second baseman . Vargas stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put York up, 2-0. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
Quan attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
The Revolution saw their record improve to 19-17.
