Dirty Reds Stumble, Lose to Outlaws
|
The Nashville Outlaws picked up a win at Lang Park, knocking off the San Mateo Dirty Reds, 8-4. Starting pitcher John Rigsby, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Rigsby got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 7 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. Rigsby allowed 4 earned runs. The loss drops San Mateo to 6-7.
Mark Toope put Nashville in front, 7-3, when he took Yoshii Ikeda downtown. His 2-run home run came with one out in the top of the sixth. It was his 1st home run of the season.
"We came out aggressive," said Outlaws manager Ryan Naylor. "We came out swinging the bats."
