The Hollywood Shredders picked up a win at Evergreen Park, knocking off the Portland Evergreens, 7-1. Starting pitcher Matthew Fallows played a key role in the triumph. Portland, at 2-10, is off to a dreadful start in 2039.

Hollywood relied on the bat of Guillermo Coss to get the win. The third baseman ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the fifth inning to put the Shredders ahead, 3-1. For the game, Coss had 1 double and 1 triple in 4 at-bats.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Fallows told the Hollywood Gazette. "It's as simple as that."
