Galesburg left fielder Bartolo Tasis had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Walla Walla Walleye, 12-5. The winner was Galesburg reliever Rob Durnford, now 3-3. The loser was Billy Limby. The Guzzlers raised their record to 10-16.

It could have been a different outcome for Galesburg, had it not been for Gerald Johnston, the 21-year old center fielder . Johnston contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the third inning to put Galesburg up, 4-3.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Johnston told the Galesburg Daily News.
