Walleye Win in Glorious Fashion
The Walla Walla Walleye faced a tough opponent in Eugene pitcher Nick Cole, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Walleye Tank by a final score of 3-2. Cole went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run. The loss lowers the Eugene record to 6-8.

Walla Walla won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With two outs and José Valdéz on the mound for Eugene, third baseman Skip Giblet hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Walleye fans to their feet.

Giblet said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
