The South Beach Blaze and Delaware 1787 BC brought some excitement to The Ballpark on the Beach.
The exploits of center fielder Gene Payne helped the Delaware 1787 BC defeat the South Beach Blaze, 7-1. Payne was 4-4 with 4 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Thomas Sangrey got the win, improving to 1-2. He worked 5 innings, giving up 1 run on 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2.
