Niagara Falls Expos starter Jorge Souza pitched a strong game against the Phoenix Hotspur U-21 at Hotspur Kiddie Complex, leading the Expos to a 3-1 win. With the win, the Expos have a record of 36-42.
Niagara Falls used the clutch hitting of Buretaua Taati to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Expos ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Taati, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
