Storm Take Nail-Biter Over Expos
|
The Syracuse Storm got a strong performance from pitcher Shawn Hanna, who stymied the Niagara Falls offense en route to a 3-2 win at Storm Park. The 7th-place Expos have lost 4 consecutive games.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Syracuse shortstop Charlie Yaeger, facing Jesús Fregaso, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Storm the 3-2 win.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Yaeger.
