Poe Finds Groove in 6-1 Triumph
|
It was a fun time at Storm Park, where the Niagara Falls Expos and Syracuse Storm tangled.
The Syracuse Storm got a stellar performance from pitcher Greg Poe, who handcuffed the Niagara Falls offense en route to a 6-1 win at Storm Park. Syracuse has now won 3 straight, while the Expos have lost 3 in a row.
Poe, a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, was dealing all game. He kept Niagara Falls hitters off-balance, while giving the Storm 9 quality innings. Poe threw 120 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 12.
"It's easier to pitch when you get run support," said Poe.
