The San Mateo Dirty Reds defeated the St. Louis Coeur, 7-5. Earning player of the game honors was first baseman Zahid Kashani, who went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Urs Ehles closed it out for his 2nd save. The win pushes San Mateo to a record of 3-3.

San Mateo used the clutch hitting of Palaie Gaoteote to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Dirty Reds ahead, 7-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Kashani after the game.
