Mancelona starter Bryan Workman put a stranglehold on the Niagara Falls offense. The left-hander had complete command of his splitter in leading the Torch to a 4-1 win. Darrell Bannatyne picked up the save for Mancelona, his 10th of the year. The Expos, at 27-29, have lost 4 in a row.

Tristan Powell, who is tied for 9th in the SA with a .294 batting average, came through for Mancelona with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. The designated hitter went 2 for 3 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 2 RBI.
