Arryns Come Back Late to Top Hawks
|
Despite a great performance by Laredo right fielder Quitério Ruah, the Lake Erie Arryns defeated the Hawks by the score of 5-4 at Arryns Ballpark. Ruah went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Armando González picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Javier Iturburua was tagged with the loss. Surya Prawiranega recorded his 1st save for Lake Erie.
Lake Erie took a 5-4 lead on Mike Branch's 5th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Branch hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Laredo pitcher Mike Park shaking his head.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Branch. "And not try to do too much."
Lake Erie is now 20-29.
