The Niagara Falls Expos picked up a win at Storm Park, knocking off the Syracuse Storm, 7-5. Starting pitcher Jorge Souza was an essential part of his team's success. Souza went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-1. The Storm, now 27-21, have lost 5 straight.

The Expos got a lift from second baseman Wally Hill, who in the top of the fourth stroked a 0-1 knuckleball into left for a 2-run single. It was his 40th hit of the season and put the Expos ahead, 3-0.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Souza told the Niagara Falls Chronicle.
