Expos Win at Syracuse, 4-1
|
Niagara Falls and Syracuse met at Storm Park in front of a lively crowd.
Pitcher John Jamieson was sensational for the Niagara Falls Expos in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Syracuse Storm. Jamieson received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Niagara Falls is now 23-23, Syracuse 27-19.
Niagara Falls used the timely hitting of Todd Strachota to capture the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Expos on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Strachota, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
