Arryns Get Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
The Lake Erie Arryns knocked off the Syracuse Storm, 4-1, at Arryns Ballpark. Scot Roberts, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Lake Erie won. The left fielder was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Lake Erie reliever Luis Reyes picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-0. Ed Lake was collared with the loss. Artie Crumpacker finished the game for Lake Erie and earned his 2nd save.

Daryl Pethick had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for Lake Erie. With the bases loaded and the Arryns leading 2-1, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Pethick told a Lake Erie Bulletin reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."

The Arryns have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 5th win in 15 games.
