Reapers Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Storm
|
The Reapers faced a stiff challenge from Syracuse pitcher Jeff Davis, but persevered to claim a win at The Coffin. The final score was 3-2. Davis went 7 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Reliever Lorenzo Carregosa picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Jeff Davis took the loss. Losses have been few and far between for the Storm so far this season. Their record drops to 2-1.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, first baseman Taysir bin Mahmud came through big-time for the Reapers. With Grim trailing 2-1, he belted a solo home run.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," bin Mahmud said after the game.
