Tight Tilt Goes to Smokies, 3-2
|
The Tennessee Smokies scored a 3-2 win versus the Belleville Bulls at Smokies Stadium. Tennessee pitcher Carlos Cabael nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Cabael, now 8-5, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing 2 earned runs. José Stanley notched his 3rd save in 6 chances.
Bob Arrington helped out the Tennessee cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the left fielder was 1-3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
