Getting an impressive start from Jesús Vidro, Hollywood beat Northern Virginia by the score of 5-1. Hollywood has now won 4 in a row.

Orlando Velásquez had a big 2-run home run for the Shredders in the bottom of the first inning. With Hollywood leading 2-1 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Ricardo García and stroked the home run to left. It was his 9th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Shredders ahead, 4-1.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Shredders manager Bill Cheese, "I like our chances."
