Generals Mow Down Bulls, 10-3
|
The Washington Generals knocked off the Belleville Bulls, 10-3, at Washington Park. Ron Lee, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Washington won. The right fielder went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. With the win, Washington goes to 28-35, while the Bulls fall to 33-30.
With two out in the bottom of the first, Jeroen Penning barreled up a fastball from Luis Pantoja. The result was a 3-run home run, putting the Generals in front, 5-0.
Lee told a Washington Citizen reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
