Getting an impressive start from Matthew Fallows, Hollywood beat Greenville by the score of 5-2. The winning pitcher was Fallows, now 9-7. He tossed 8.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 8. Mark Valle was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 15 of 16 save opportunities.
Hollywood used a timely hit from Divine Diablo to get the win. The catcher delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the fifth inning to put the Shredders on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Diablo told a Hollywood Gazette reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
