Chukars Raise Rally Flag, Beat Washington, 4-2
|
The Idaho Falls Chukars and Washington Generals played an exciting game at Washington Park.
The Idaho Falls Chukars picked up a win at Washington Park, knocking off the Washington Generals, 4-2. Starting pitcher Masao Myoga was an essential part of his team's success. Ryan Neal saved it for Idaho Falls.
Idaho Falls used the timely hitting of Kazuki Takahashi to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Chukars on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
In postgame comments to the Idaho Falls Bulletin, Myoga said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
Idaho Falls has an impressive 28-9 record.
